TimePay - Privacy Policy

In this Privacy Policy (“Policy”), ‘you’, ‘your’, ‘yours’ etc. refers to the User(s), i.e. any person or entity that uses or access the Timepay Software and ‘IndusAge’, ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’, ‘ours’, etc. refers to IndusAge Techapp Private Limited.


This Policy shall be applicable to all Users that install the Timepay software/mobile application (“Timepay Software”) and avail services offered by IndusAge, which include but are not limited to viewing and analysis of business / financial data, enabling communications with customers / prospects and suppliers and managing their finances by way of making and receiving payments (“Timepay Services”) or access the mobile application or webpage, owned or operated by IndusAge. In the course of availing the Timepay Services, IndusAge and its affiliates may become privy to the personal information of its Users, including information that is of a confidential nature.


IndusAge is committed to protecting the privacy of its Users and has taken all necessary and reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of the User information and its transmission through the world wide web. We have adopted this Policy which provides you with information about the kind of personal information which we may collect from you, how we handle such information and the rights which you have to control our use of your personal data. Your personal and business data collected by us shall be used by us strictly in accordance with applicable Indian laws and for the specified purpose only.  IndusAge shall not be held liable for disclosure of the confidential information if such disclosure is in accordance with this Policy, the applicable laws, or in accordance with the terms of any agreement or any document(s) that we may enter with you.

We request you to read this Policy carefully before sharing your personal information with us. By installing the Timepay Software or visiting or accessing it in any manner or availing the Timepay Services, we assume your acceptance to the practices described in this Policy and if you have any questions you may please contact us at the address provided hereinbelow.


All capitalized terms not defined in this document shall have the meanings ascribed to them in the Terms of Use of the Timepay Services, which can be found on the website - www.timepay.co.in. This Privacy Policy shall be read in conjunction with the Terms of Use.




IndusAge may collect and process information from the Users, including but not limited to the below mentioned:

  • When you register, or interact with us, we may collect a variety of personal information including your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, your address, shipping/billing address and/or your credit card number etc. to help us interact with you for sales, service, support, registration and payment;

  • As part of the process of providing Timepay Services to you, we may have to collect and store your financial information such as accounting transactions, and other data such as your customers / suppliers contact information;

  • Where Timepay Services involve financial or business transactions facilitated by or enabled through Timepay Software, we may have to collect additional financial or business data such as bank information, banking transaction data or GST details. Such information would be collected as reasonably required for providing you with relevant Timepay Services;

  • We collect User feedback, community discussions, chats and other interactions on the app / at our websites;

  • We may obtain additional information about you and/or your business contacts, such as geolocation, credit history from public or commercially available sources;

  • We may collect additional information from you as relevant to Timepay Services availed by you, including but not limited to information required for enabling communications (email / sms / call / WhatsApp etc.);

  • Information that gets synced automatically while availing Timepay Services, such as, information relating to User’s sales, purchases, inventory, business contacts (supplier list & customer list), payment patters, bank, GST and other commercial information;

  • We may collect information that you provide over telephone, mobile, emails, during surveys or through any other mode of communication;

  • We may collect information from third parties, such as third party service providers, whose platforms you may access while availing Timepay Services and with whom you share any information.

  • In connection with any communication or transaction or any other services that you may avail using the Timepay Platform, information, including but not limited to, bank account numbers, billing and delivery information ("Account Information") may be collected, among other things, to facilitate transactions through the Platform.

  • We may record and retain records of Users’ browsing or buying activities on Timepay Platform including but not limited to IP addresses, browsing patterns and User behavioural patterns. In addition, we gather statistical information about the Timepay Platform and visitors to the Platform including, but not limited to, IP addresses, browser software, operating system, software and hardware attributes, pages viewed, number of sessions, other device identifiers, browser information, cookies, Internet Service Provider (ISP), operating system, location, date/time stamp and click stream data and unique visitors (together "Browsing Information").

  • It is mandatory for Users of the Timepay Platform to provide certain categories of data (as specified at the time of collection). In the event that Users do not provide any or sufficient data marked as mandatory, IndusAge may not be able to complete the registration process or provide such Users with Timepay Services.


If you need to update your personal information in our records (e.g. if you change your address), please provide the updated details at support@timepay.co.in, to enable us to make the change. You may be requested to provide some verification before the information is recorded.


You shall be and continue to be responsible for the authenticity of any personal information supplied to us by you.  IndusAge shall not be responsible for the authenticity of any personal information supplied to us by you.




  • IndusAge may use the User’s information to provide Timepay Services, including but not limited to, use for its business purposes and other purposes as specified below.

  • IndusAge may disclose Users’ information to its employees, agents, sub-contractors, advisors, partners, affiliates or third party service providers for use in accordance with the terms of this Policy .

  • IndusAge may disclose Users’ information to governmental and other statutory bodies who have appropriate authorisation to access the same for any specific legal purposes.

  • IndusAge may disclose Users’ information if it is under a duty to do so in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce the terms of the agreement with you or to protect the rights, property or safety of IndusAge, its Users or third parties. This includes exchanging information with other companies / agencies that work for fraud prevention and credit reference.

  • IndusAge may disclose Users’ information to any member of its group companies including its subsidiaries and its associate companies for use by such entities for their business purposes, including other purposes as specified below .

  • IndusAge may transfer or assign such information in the course of assignment/novation of this Policy, corporate divestitures, mergers, de-merger, restructuring, dissolution, or investment.

  • If you demonstrate an interest in considering or availing services offered by any of our third-party partners, we would share relevant parts or whole of your information to such third-party partners to enable them to offer you their services.

IndusAge uses reliable and trusted third party technology and service for storing / processing /analyzing your data and transactions, thereby rendering various parts of the Timepay. IndusAge shall ensure that in case of disclosure of whole or part of the User’s information to a third party service provider or agent, within or outside India, the same shall be bound by obligations of confidentiality at least as strict as IndusAge’s obligations under this Policy and the information shall be accorded the same level of protection as provided by IndusAge under the terms of this Policy. IndusAge may store the User’s information in locations outside the direct control of IndusAge (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers).

User agrees and consents to receive any other information through telephone/ e-mail/ SMS/WhatsApp for marketing purposes from IndusAge, its subsidiaries, group companies or other service providers. User expressly and irrevocably consent that for any claim against the service providers, IndusAge or its subsidiaries/affiliates shall not be liable and User’s claim on this account shall be against the service providers and/or tele-callers. User agrees to the use of WhatsApp or other applications for communication or sharing of information or documents or for sending notices, agree to abide by the terms and conditions of such applications and agree to the risks associated with such applications or sharing of information or issuance of notices through them.


Your personal information may be used in the following ways, viz.:

  • For assessment, evaluation (including credit and/ or behaviour scoring), statistical, market and product analysis and/or market research and to monitor, improve and administer the Timepay Services;

  • To develop a risk profile of various businesses and to use such risk profiles as input into underwriting or any qualification process for financial products;

  • To profile your business and to understand your needs better, and thereby offer you products & services;

  • To create aggregated products, such as, “risk scores” on business contacts;

  • To analyse how the Timepay Software or Timepay Services are being used, diagnose service or technical problems, or maintain security;

  • To remember information to help the User effectively access the Timepay Services;

  • To monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of views, visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns;

  • To verify and confirm the User’s identity in order to determine its eligibility to avail the Timepay Services;

  • To process User’s registration as a user, providing User with a log-in ID for the Timepay Platform and maintaining and managing User’s registration;

  • For the purpose of sending administrative notices, service-related alerts and other similar communication with a view to optimising the efficiency of the Timepay Software and the Timepay Services;

  • Doing market research, troubleshooting, protection against error, project planning, fraud and other criminal activity.

  • To deliver Timepay Services to you and your business contacts provide other services/products by us;

  • To address enquiries and/or complaints;

  • For sharing with third party service providers/ vendors / affiliates / employees so that they can assist us in providing the Timepay Services to you. Information shall be shared under a code of confidentiality.

  • To meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request;

  • To reinforce terms of the agreement we have with you;

  • To contact you (by registered post, courier, phone, text, email and/or other digital modes), for the purpose of:

  • Helping you manage your accounts.

  • Keeping you informed about the Timepay Services.

  • Sharing information about products / services that may interest you.

  • Collecting any debts that you owe to us under the agreement executed between you and us.

  • Meeting any regulatory / statutory / compliance / reporting requirements.

  • Providing the services requested by you.

  • Recording and analysing phone calls and/or any other communications between you and us.

  • Checking the instructions you provide to us, and for providing training, for enhancement of our customer service and protection of our business interests.

  • Improving our services to the User and to keep Users updated about our new products/services or providing other information that may be of interest to such Users. This may include making follow up calls in relation to the services provided, for imparting product knowledge, offering promotional offers & various other offers offered by its partners.

By agreeing to this Policy, you consent to your data being used and disclosed in the manner laid down above.


IndusAge employs commercially reasonable security methods to prevent unauthorized access to the Timepay Platform, to maintain data accuracy and to ensure the correct use of the information IndusAge hold.

The information that is collected from the Users may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination inside or outside India. By submitting information to IndusAge, the Users agree to this transfer, storing and/ or processing. IndusAge will take such steps as it considers reasonably necessary to ensure that the Users’ information is treated securely and in accordance with the Policy.

No data transmission over the internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. As a result, while IndusAge tries to protect the information IndusAge hold, IndusAge cannot guarantee the security of any information the User transmits to IndusAge and Users do so at their own risk.IndusAge assumes no liability for any disclosure of information due to errors in transmission, unauthorised third party access or other acts of third parties, or acts or omissions beyond its reasonable control and the User agrees not to hold IndusAge responsible for any breach of security unless such breach has been caused as a direct result of gross negligence or willful default by IndusAge.



IndusAge collects certain information from the User’s browser using small data files called “cookies.” IndusAge uses session ID cookies to confirm that customers are logged in. This type of cookie helps IndusAge recognize a customer if he or she visits multiple pages while availing Timepay Services during the same session, so that separate passwords are not required to access each page. These cookies terminate once the customer closes the browser. By default, IndusAge uses a persistent cookie that stores customer login ID (but not password) to make it easier for the customer to login when returning to the Timepay webpage/app. IndusAge encodes its cookies so that only IndusAge can interpret the information stored in them. The User may remove or block this cookie using the User’s browser settings to disable the feature.

IndusAge also stores transaction history. IndusAge may collect additional information in ways not specifically described herein. For example, IndusAge may track information related to interactions with customer service or responses from surveys or other feedback tools. IndusAge uses this information to continually improve the service provided to the customers.

IndusAge’s Policy does not cover the use of cookies by its partners and affiliates. IndusAge does not have access or control over these cookies. IndusAge’s partners and affiliates may use session ID cookies to provide a custom user experience and to track the success of IndusAge’s partnership with them.



The web pages of IndusAge contain electronic images known as “web beacons” (sometimes called single-pixel gifs) and are used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyse how the Timepay Services are used. Web beacons may also be used in some of IndusAge’s emails to so as to know which emails and links recipients have opened, allowing it to gauge the effectiveness of its customer communications and marketing campaigns.



While availing Timepay Services, the webpages/app may include links to other platforms or pages whose privacy practices may differ from those of IndusAge. The inclusion of a link does not imply any endorsement by IndusAge of the third-party platform, the platform's provider, or the information on the third party platform. If the Users submit personal information to any of those platforms, such information is governed by the privacy policies of such third-party platforms and IndusAge disclaims all responsibility or liability with respect to these policies or the platforms. The Users are encouraged to carefully read the privacy policy of any platform that they visit.



Timepay Services are not intended for users under the age of 18 years. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from persons under the age of 18 years or market to or solicit information from anyone under the age of 18 years.



IndusAge will retain and use User information as necessary to provide services, comply with its legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce its agreements or for other business purposes.



Any changes to this Policy will be communicated by us posting an amended and restated Policy on the Timepay Platforms. Once posted on the Timepay Platforms the new Policy will be effective immediately.. Your continued use of the Timepay Services and the Timepay Platforms shall be deemed to be your acceptance to the provisions of the new Policy. Where the change in the Policy adversely affects the User, we would notify the User of such change at least 7 days prior to such change coming in effect. User agree that any information IndusAge hold about User (as described in this Policy and whether or not collected prior to or after the new Policy became effective) will be governed by the latest version of the Policy.




Under the applicable laws, User have the right of access to personal information held by IndusAge and to request updating / correcting the information.




IndusAge has made every effort to ensure that this Policy adheres with the applicable laws. The invalidity or unenforceability of any part of this Policy shall not prejudice or affect the validity or enforceability of the remainder of this Policy.



The rights and remedies available under this Policy may be exercised as often as necessary and are cumulative and not exclusive of rights or remedies provided by law. It may be waived only in writing. Delay in exercising or non-exercise of any such right or remedy does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy, or any other right or remedy.



This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India and, the courts at Bangalore shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Policy.



IndusAge makes no representation that the content contained on the Timepay Platforms is appropriate or to be used or accessed outside of the Republic of India. If the Users use or access the Timepay Services from outside the Republic of India, they do so at their own risk and are responsible for compliance with the laws of such jurisdiction.
